Overview of Products, Technologies, and Services

TabLock is a patented baking tray system from American Pan that lets bakeries replace worn screens in 20–60 seconds - no drilling, no welding, no shipping to a service center. A channeled aluminum frame accepts interchangeable inserts for baguettes, flat breads, hamburger buns, hot dogs, and more. Metal shavings are eliminated, removing a key food safety risk. With a service life 2–3 times longer than standard pans, TabLock cuts replacement costs, boosts line flexibility, and reduces environmental impact.

Product Features

  • Patented Screen Attachment System — Baking screens lock into a channeled aluminum frame using engineered metal tabs, eliminating the need for rivets, welding, or drilling. No specialized skills or equipment required for screen replacement.
  • Fast Screen Replacement — Old screens are removed and new ones installed in just 20–60 seconds per screen using proprietary hand tools. No need to ship trays to a service center, minimizing line downtime.
  • One Frame, Many Products — The same TabLock frame accommodates interchangeable inserts for baguettes, flat breads, hamburger buns, hot dogs, and more — reducing the number of frames needed and maximizing production flexibility.
  • Enhanced Food Safety — By eliminating rivets and welding, TabLock removes the risk of metal shavings contaminating products during screen replacement — a critical advantage for food safety compliance.
  • 2–3x Longer Service Life and Sustainability — TabLock frames last 2 to 3 times longer than standard pans. For every 1,000 pans, screen replacement eliminates approximately 6,600 kWh of energy consumption, equivalent to the CO₂ emissions from 522 gallons of gasoline.
