Overview of Products, Technologies, and Services
The EXPEL compressed air filter, developed by OriginalAVG in the UK, continuously removes 99.999% of water, oil emulsions, and solid particles down to 1 micron within a single unit.
EXPEL requires no replacement of internal components (filter elements), making it virtually maintenance-free. In addition, by providing superior protection for pneumatic equipment, EXPEL helps eliminate maintenance and repair costs associated with condensate buildup and contaminated compressed air.
Product Features
- How EXPEL Works
Stage 1: 95% Separation
Compressed air enters the EXPEL unit and flows downward along the outside of the patented internal filter element, where separation begins.
Around the outer surface of the internal filter are specially angled vanes designed to control airflow direction. These vanes generate multiple vortex flows, forcing contaminants toward the inner wall of the bowl.
At the lower section of the internal filter, vertical vanes act as an air brake. At this stage, approximately 95% of contaminants are removed from the air and fall to the bottom of the bowl, where they are automatically discharged by the AVG auto drain.
