The presenters at the Academic Plaza at FOOMA JAPAN 2009 included the Henan University of Technology (China), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Kyungpook National University (Republic of Korea), and the University of California, Davis (United States).

Highlights of FOOMA JAPAN 2009 included seminars by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group and by the American Institute of Baking that presented advanced initiatives in ensuring food safety.
